Connecting Roo Code to NordRouter

Roo Code connects through a separate profile OpenAI-compatible. It is better to create a new profile separately so as not to spoil an already working provider.

Settings

1. Open Roo Code and provider settings.
2. Create a new API profile.
3. Select OpenAI Compatible.
4. Base URL: https://nordrouter.com/v1.
5. API Key: your key sk-nr-….
6. Model ID: anthropic/claude-sonnet-4.6 or another full ID from the directory.
7. Save the profile and select it for the current task.

Check your connection in Ask mode. After a successful response, you can go into code editing mode and enable the necessary tools.

If not OpenAI Compatible

Menu names differ between versions of Roo Code. Update the extension and look for the item OpenAI Compatible or Custom OpenAI; do not paste the key into the login form OpenAI.
